Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows...

IMG_0438.web

A clever man (Anthony Robbins) once told me that "Where focus goes, energy flows." That sentence kind of stuck on my mind ever since. To me, that sentence means that whenever I give my full attention into something, that something will grow, blossom, expand...and please be aware that it works both for negative and positive things.

So where is your focus today? Right now?

If your focus is on something fun, amazing, positive - then yay - keep your focus right there girl!

But... if you are thinking of something negative, like a challenge you have in your life, a problem, an issue to sort out...then you need to try to do this today...

Change your focus now!

Take a piece of paper and a pen. Take a moment to sit down and write down what trouble you. You can write in headlines or few sentences, depending on what you prefer.

Now go outside or to your kitchen sink and BURN that piece of paper or tear it into small pieces and toss those small pieces into the toilet. Say this sentence while you are doing it, "I have the power to easily change my focus. I am grateful and lucky. I see everything positively blossoming like beautiful flowers."

Now take a new piece of paper and write down 3-5 positive things you wish to focus on for the rest of this week. Something so positive that it makes your heart pump a little faster or put a smile on your face.

It can be something simple like a new photo project that you are excited about. A night out with friends. The fact that Spring is knocking on your door (yes, I can't wait for Spring as well!) Or it can be something greater like a dream to start your own business, planning a romantic getaway, releasing a new website to feature your work or a holliday/vacation. I want you to choose things that make you excited and feeling grateful.

Starting now, I want you to put you focus on the positive energy! Just do this for the rest of the week. Every time your mind slips into the old negative focus...change it! Notice how changing your focus makes you feel!

Let this be your experiment of the week :-)

xoxo, Christina

  1. I'm going to remember that phrase...where focus goes energy follows. Thanks for sharing it.

  2. Amen to this sista!! I just needed this since I had a few negative things happen to my mom and I in just one night. Kind of takes the focus off the positive- since one thing happens after another. Hoping for a better day tomorrow! I think I might just take this little challenge about focusing for a whole week, it sounds like fun!!
